Reviews and Ratings
Had a bit of a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms could use some TLC, but the staff were friendly. The shower setup made it a bit challenging to use. The location was great for exploring, but could be better lit in certain areas. The dining left much to be desired with cold and tasteless breakfast offerings.
My stay at the D Hotel was simply delightful. The room overlooked the river Boyne and provided a lovely view of the river and the Viaduct. Although I didn't see the standard doubles, this upgraded room was definitely worth it for the view. The location was perfect, right beside a shopping center and within 5 minutes walking distance to the town center. Breakfast was great with lots of hot foods and fresh fruit and yogurt, but a bit disorganized and chaotic. Overall, a pleasant experience with a few quirks.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms were gorgeous, overlooking the Boyne River from the 3rd floor, and spacious enough for me and my 3 young kids, but they didn't quite meet my expectations. The service was top-notch, with staff being extremely helpful, even after I had left. The location on the mall was perfect for shopping, and the proximity to Funtasia Waterpark was a big plus. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with lovely food but some disorganization. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
For our anniversary stay, the hotel offered modern, clean, and very spacious rooms with a balcony overlooking the Boyne river, complete with a combination code for extra security. The service had us well looked after all night, although there were some issues, the staff were nice and friendly upon arrival. The location was super, close to the center of town, but the hotel's position in a corner made it feel a bit isolated. The dining experience was a bit disorganized near the reception, causing a wait to get into the restaurant, but room service was excellent. Overall, the hotel's facilities were satisfactory.
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room could use updating and a fresh coat of paint, but the delivery of cupcakes and water was a nice touch, though I wish there was a couch instead. The service was outstanding, especially Louise, who truly went above and beyond to take care of us. The location was brilliant, just across the footbridge from the town center, making it very convenient for our daily trips. The dining options were varied and delicious, although it got quite busy in the mornings. Overall, a nice stay with a few areas for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was a bit mixed. The rooms were a good size, but unfortunately very dark and oppressive. Despite overlooking the harbor, the room was very hot, and I had to keep the window closed due to the sound, almost like an alarm, coming from the adjacent shopping center.
My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The rooms were wonderfully quiet as requested, clean, and functional, although the bathroom had a lovely touch. Unfortunately, there was a lingering smell of cigarettes or tobacco present. The staff, on the other hand, were accommodating and friendly.
My stay at the hotel was pretty good overall. The rooms could use a bit more attention, but for a quick stopover, they were fine. The hotel also doubles as a restaurant in the evening, which was quite convenient. However, our room seemed to be located near a generator room, and the view overlooking a roof with a window directly across meant we had to keep the curtain drawn for some privacy.
